During our attempt at a platform upgrade last week, we discovered two bugs in our Intercom Messenger application.
The first was that the coloured dot representing the current status was failing to load. This was due to the image being sourced from a third-party service that is no longer operating.
We have fixed this by having the messenger use our own Status Badge product to pull an icon that represents the current status from your status page.
The second bug was an incompatibility with the next major version of Ruby on Rails, which is why we rolled back our attempted platform upgrade.
This compatibility issue has also been fixed, and additional tests added to ensure things are working as expected.
