Earlier today, between 09:30 and 10:30 UTC, customers experienced delays in the delivery of their status notifications.

At this time, Cloudflare was experiencing an issue, prompting many customers to post about it on their status page.

This spike in posting caused a backlog in our notification queue, resulting in slower message delivery than we would like.

We have identified several ways to improve our notification system to make it more resilient to future workload spikes, and we will be working on them in the coming week.

In the meantime, we have added more server resources to help prevent a repeat while we work on the long-term improvements.
