During the upgrade, we identified an issue with the Intercom Messenger displaying 'Couldn't load the app'. As a result, we have decided to roll back to the previous Rails version to restore the integration. We will identify the cause of the issue and implement a fix before upgrading again.
We will schedule a new date for the maintenance and create a new notice.
We are now beginning our platform upgrades.
We don't expect this to cause any outages and will be watching our monitoring and logging tools for any unexpected impact.
If you experience any errors or unusual behaviour, please let us know using the messaging bubble at the bottom right of the screen.
We shall keep you updated on our progress.
We have postponed this platform upgrade for 24 hours, so it'll now take place on Thursday, January 30th at 10:00 UTC.
This postponement is due to some other unrelated commitments.
After much preparation over the past few weeks, we plan to perform our platform-wide upgrades to a newer version of Ruby on Rails on Wednesday, January 29th @ 10:00 UTC.
We don't anticipate this resulting in any downtime.
We have extensively tested this change with both our automated test suite and also manual verification in our staging environment and are confident that the update poses minimal risk.
We also have a proven approach to roll back the changes should anything not go quite as planned.
These changes are all part of our continual work to keep the product secure, reliable and performant.
